Women empowerment is a cliche'd slogan today. But for Smt. Rukmini bai Pandit educating the girl child and liberating her was a very valid cause for which she dedicated her entire life. Thus a technical institute exclusively for women, the first of its kind in Karnataka, is a fitting tribute to her memory and ideals.

GSSS (R) Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha (R) was founded by Prof. B.S.Pandit Retired Professor, from SJCE, Mysore & a true visionary. As an academician, worked for more than 4 decades in the line of technical education, started this first women's engineering college in Karnataka. With his leadership qualities, determination & dedication to serve for the cause of education, this institute is constantly upgrading its quality, infrastructure and other various developments according to present day needs.
