The Physics Research Center was established in 2019 under VTU, Belagavi. The Research Center is equipped with 3.5kW electron beam evaporator with glancing angle deposition for fabricating nanostructured thin films under high vacuum conditions, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Ultrasonic Cleaner, and Vacuum Desicccator with oil free vacuum pump. This research facility was setup under the first and second year VGST-CISEE grant of Rs.20.00 lakh (2019-20, 2022-23) for the ongoing research project titled ‘Fabrication and Characterization of Multifunctional Nanostructured Antireflection Coatings Grown by Glancing Angle Deposition for Photovoltaic Applications’.
